Since 1980 I have admired Mike Banks in his three professions–radio broadcaster, fund raiser, and banker. So when I launched my WBCX-FM program, “The Communication Corner,” fourteen months ago, I was delighted to host him as my first guest.
Kristina Rhoades, my co-host, and I enjoyed a second opportunity to interview him, this time about mastering relationships. Among the topics we covered:
–His affiliation with “Miss Kitty” of TV’s “Gunsmoke”
–Definition of “Servant Leadership”
–Attitude you must have to build productive relationships
–How to “pay it forward” when someone does you a favor
–Why listening skills attract people more than your words would
–Establishing strong bonds with your children
–7 personality traits of top sales people
–Books he considers helpful
–Hosting international travelers and keeping them compatible
–The value of volunteers in civic and charitable organizations
