Edie Galley is a highly acclaimed transformer of people’s lives and careers.

HER PERSONAL TRANSFORMATION
Before she started transforming other lives, she reshaped her own–dramatically. In her words, she went from “overweight, unhappy, and sick” to “healthy, vibrant, and happy.” The before-and-after photos on her site substantiate her weight loss of more than 50 pounds. Her sedentary habit disappeared, and now she runs the beaches near her Longwood, Florida office. Remarkably, she has become “Galloping Galley,” a name I tagged her with admiringly.

Family life ranks high with her. In a phone conversation, Edie refers proudly to her daughter in college and her son still at home. “I know these years with them being dependent on me alone will fly by. Believe me, I will make the most of every minute.”

Additionally, she is a frequently honored member of professional and community organizations.

HER PROFESSIONAL TRANSFORMATION
That was the personal revolution. Professionally, she couldn’t remain content with standard success–which so many thousands of others in the work force would. As a book from a few years ago stated, she vowed to move “from good to great.” After a stint with GTE and then establishing a company she sold after eight years, she launched a new venture.
